As I am limited in the live foods that I am allowed to culture and having heard of this food, I wanted to order golden pearls. However, I wonder which size(s) would be most suitable for me?

I am looking to feed fry of the following fish (don't have fry but hope to get them!):
cherry barb
sparkling gourami
betta
pseudomugil

as far as betta and pseudomugil ( my experience is with furcatus) They do fine with frozen BBS. But i am not a prolific breeder either, only a few are raised at a time (probably due to my limited feedings).

I have the opportunity to get some from the US. Are you able to make the frozen bbs small enough for the pseudomugil?

the bbs is not small enough. I fed liquid fry food before moving them to frozen BBS.

Maybe I should specify that I want the golden pearls as first foods.

Golden pearls come in different sizes.... the smallest is 5-50 microns, then 50-100, 200-300 300-500 and 500-800 I believe. Live BBS are 50-100 microns in size so the first size is much smaller - more like rotifers. I use GP's quite a bit. They are easy to feed and keep and I have had good success with them. I use the first size with small new fry like killies and small anabantids. Size 2 is good for new shellies or rams and Apistos while size 3 is good for livebearers and Central American cichlid fry just to get a idea. It goes a long way and can be floated or will sink when it is put in the tank damp.
