Very nice. I'm a big fan of emperor tetras. If you haven't had them long, watch them with the two Apistogramma species though. They are intensely territorial along the bottom - shared territorial needs are never a good thing. It could work out, but it could also mean more than nipped fins. I had some trouble with that back in my Apisto days - very unhappy emperors.

Your set up looks really nice.

The emperors seem to leave the apistos alone for the most part and only seem to bug the female agassizii occasion (when I happen to be watching anyway). The apistos don't really bother with the emperors to much either even during spawning lol they seem to be concerned about the passing snails. But even though the emperors are absolutely beautiful I'm thinking of trading them in for something a little less rambunctious and more of a top dweller. I had thought maybe penguin tetras but have heard that they can be mean little buggers lol

Wow - you got some nice close up shots! Beautiful fish!

The rain has been falling all day here, I actually wouldn't mind it normally, but I had a lot of unexpected errands to run that required me to be outside a lot....and I forgot to bring an umbrella with me! I would have preferred to be at home taking pics of my finned babies! Bad day to run errands!

Again, great pictures!

Penguins are efficient predators of fry. Have you looked at pencils? I like N. beckfordi as a companion for dwarfs, although good emperors are hard to find, and you have very good emperors.

I agree with Gary, pencilfish in general are excellent fish to keep with apistogramma. They don't bother the apistos, the apistos  usually don't  bother them, and they don't eat eggs or fry if the apistos decide to spawn.
