Alternanthera Reineckii Mini is the miniature version of alternanthera and has more compact growth and slower rate of growth. This plant is best used in smaller aquariums or in a larger aquarium as a foreground plants or even as a dense carpet of red-violet leaves around 5cm high.  This plant is hungry for light and Co2 and will wilt and look pale if this is not given, if it is you will be rewarded with a lush, strong, healthy looking plant. Propagation is done by cutting and replanting in bunches, this can also be grown emersed. High light intensity and addition of CO2 improves the plants growth and overall appearance. The red plant looks great against  light green plants and dark substrate.

I wish I could say I spend every waking hour designing these tanks. But every now and then a idea hits me and bam I go for it and set up a tank.
