And yes, when I have baby koi, I don't let them all swim in grow tanks I've kept in my shed and in one of the smaller ponds in the backyard. I've also kept them in some tanks in the livingroom.
It's fun to see how they grow up from the side. And from the top in my indoor pond.

True!
They do grow up pretty fast. Once they're born they look like little needles. But you'll be surprised how quick they grow.
And a koi is a real carp. It doesn't stop growing when it's kept in a smaller enviroment. It just keeps growing...
