Hello everybody,

I thought it would be nice to get to know each other a bit better and thought of an interview style of questions. The person that answered the questions can then choose a new member for the 'interview' who then in turn answers the questions, and chooses a new member and so on.

I will start:

How long have you been in the aquarium hobby?
Around 12 years
How did you get into the aquarium hobby?
I have always loved animals but my work travel limits me a lot in the kind of pet I can keep. My partner then suggested that I could keep fish and that is how it all started, with a 20 gallon bowfront tank.
Which aspect of the hobby has your special interest?
Planted tanks that are both aesthetic and good for the fish I keep
What is your favourite fish (group/family) and why?
My favourite fish family are labyrinth fish. I love this family as there is so much variety and colour in them. They are also great for my situation which means high temperatures and smaller tanks.
Are you a member of a local aquarium club?
Si
If yes, which club and why did you become a member?
I am a member of the Montreal Aquarium Society. I joined it for the social aspect and the possibility to learn from other club members. There is a wealth of information in the club; something that you can not easily replace by the internet or reading.
If no, would you like to join one? And for what reasons?

What is the reason you joined Canadaquaria?
I was a member of the CAC, the predecessor of CA. Canada is still a new country for me and I want to know what is going on in the hobby here. I also love to be in personal contact with fish hobbyists when I get to other parts of the country and have been fortunate to meet several of the CA members in person and exchange with them.

I would like to pass on the baton to..... @catinthehat
