Ok so maybe I'm not quite that bad yet but I can sure see it coming!  Started with one betta in a bowl back in May, now have a 33g and a 30g running with a 10g and a 20g in the basement begging to be used. Every time I go to the pet store I see another fish I think would be neat to have and I have to hold myself back.

When we transferred everything from the 10 to the 33 last night we added 4 platys that my daughter picked up when we went to see if the rainbowfish had been restocked. Things are really starting to look nice!

It is so nice not to be alone in this wonderful addiction Wink

We started out with a 10g, upgraded to a 55g, and then decided a 220g was in order! Fast forward to now, we have a total of 7 tanks running...plus, a 20g and 36g empty and, as you say, just begging to be used!  Very Happy

Wow Shell, where do you put all those tanks? The 2 I have running are in my dining room. The betta now has a 3g to himself on my daughters desk in the living room. I have no idea where I would put another tank! I think that's actually what's stopping my husband from encouraging me...he probably sees me eyeing the big screen tv and knows it would be the perfect spot for a nice big tank!

And why not??? The sight of healthy, colourful (or just interesting) fish cruising around a lovely landscaped tank is much better viewing than most of what is on tv. Wink

The 55g in in our living room. All of the other tanks are in my home office (although it looks more like a fish room as opposed to my office now!). It makes report writing waaay more fun (and, yep, a little distracting - but I am getting better with sticking to work, instead of staring at the tanks all day, when working from home!).

I actually just bought a used tall filing cabinet to replace the two shorter ones...planning a spot for the empty 36g!

Agreed! Plus, I've always said that there is really no need for the couch in the living room! We have two good chairs and if we have company, I'm sure I could dig out some lawn furniture for them tongue

Addiction? Is that what it is?Shocked Laughing And here I thought it was just MTS (Multiple Tank Syndrome). Don't worry kpoet, you're definitely not alone.

Shell, you can always find a way to make room for another tank.Wink (For example, at one point I had 7 tanks up and running in my bachelor apartment... I'm currently down to 3).

Hi kpoet and Shell
We are here to help. Group hug everyone. I am comfortable with my addiction and learning to live with it. The key is to give yourself permission to buy the next tank... and the next fish ... and the next plant ... and the next snail. Why not spend the $500 on the next koi shipment ? Why not build the 1200 gallon super tank ? Be free, kumbaya
