Should I be worried about snails in my aquarium ?

Snails are beautiful creatures and there are many species that provide an intricate display of iridescent glamour and panache to an aquarium. These fancy types are high priced, valued and can steal the show over the other inhabitants. Snails can also be pests and unsightly. What can we understand about these molluscs and their contribution to the underwater ecosystem.
